WE HAVE DATES!!!!! kind of

So Norm is working at Nordstrom right now and they are shutting down the job for a week during their Anniversary Sale. Norm keeps forgetting to ask when it is so I finally called a store today and found out their sale starts July 20th. I'm going to have Norm double check with his foreman before I email our case worker to verify we can do the handoff those specific days, but at least we have certain dates in mind!!! And airfare isn't bad during the days I'm looking at either! I told mom and she is convinced it will turn into a pick up trip. From her lips to God's ears!!!! I'm trying to stay realistic with everything and still hoping to have Valentina home for Christmas. Obviously I'd be THRILLED beyond BELIEF if it was before Asa's birthday but I'm trying to be conservative and realistic.

Sidenote: I called my cousin Angie in California today and she said "oh, I just pulled up to your favorite store!" Yes, she was at Target! I went there today with sisy and Asa. I had a coupon for $5 off my purchase of $75 or more. Sure enough, what was my total? $69.99!!!! AAARRGGGHHH!!!!! The ONE time I don't go crazy!!!! Serves me right! I did, however, find a cute brown a-line skirt to wear for my cousin's sweet 16 birthday party that we planning on going to in California next month. I put a hold on on our airline tickets but haven't bought them yet.

Asa's Pictures Yesterday

So yesterday I took time out from laundry day to go with sissy and Asa to the mall to have Asa's pictures taken. Here are a few pics that I took while we were waiting...

Another little boy and his mom showed up while we were already waiting. There weren't any DVD's to play but this mom had one in her purse. Now THAT is what I call prepared!!!

Asa was really good having his picture taken. There were about 5 really cute pics and they will be ready on the 1st. Hopefully this will be the last time Asa will have his picture taken by himself..... next time, God willing, Valentina will be home!!!! Keep in mind that he won't have his pictures taken again for about six months. Actually, no, he'll have his 3 year pics done in September, and she won't be home by then. So December is when we'll hopefully have both of them. I can't wait!!!!

Mom and papa are coming back today. They went to Goldendale Saturday and are taking Asa with them Tuesday. Papa has a 1950 Ford that they are going to try to sell. They are going to haul it from Goldendale to Vancouver tomorrow. Josh didn't work today so I don't have Asa. I am going to TRY to get my craft room cleaned out a bit so I can start making my shower thank you's. I have a few ideas that I'm going to try out. Plus there's also a few other surprises I have up my sleeve. Anyway, I suppose I better get busy. I just hate to clean. Blech. Plus I have a headbreak (Norm and my word for headache) and my meds aren't working...... yet. OH! I'm so pissed!!!! I went to be last night at 8:30 pm as I was tired and I thought I'd just get up early and watch the season finales of "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers And Sisters". So I get up this morning after showering and making my bed, get my coffee and settle on the couch, hit my DVR button and...... nothing. I HAD FORGOT TO TIVO IT!!!!! I got DH off of iTunes but I guess I'll have to watch BAS on the computer. Thank goodness they at least have it on abc.com. But I'm so mad!!!! Bummer. Oh well, if this is the worst thing to happen to me today, I'm blessed beyond any realm of the imagination. Until later.....
