I don't have any pictures to post but man, am I exhausted! We're having Thanksgiving here this year and I decided that I needed to go buy 4 more dining chairs. I have my grandparents table, the table that they had the whole time I was growing up and I can remember sooooo many family gatherings, Thanksgivings, Sabbath dinners, special dinners etc... held at that table. It has 2 leaves to it and can seat 12 comfortably. I only have 4 chairs and Sissy is bringing over her 4 chairs. Ergo, we need another 4 chairs. I did some shopping yesterday for some and found some that I like, but the store where we got the ones we have right now no longer have them. Mom, Valentina and I headed to IKEA to check things out there. I found some that I liked but I'm hesitant to buy dining chairs at IKEA. After that we hit Target and they had NOTHING. My dear Target let me down for the first time, boohoo. So I think tomorrow and Sunday I'll check a few more places. We didn't get home until 5 pm and Valentina had a meltdown just as we got home, the poor thing was starving. I kept trying to get her to eat something but she didn't want anything until we got home when she ate a whole can of some turkey noodle casserole type crap. She loved it. I thought it stunk to high heaven but hey, I was lazy so I gave it to her.
Tomorrow is super busy. I have a birthday party to go to for my dear cousin Heather, Norm is working, I need to hit Bed Bath and Beyond to buy the napkins for Thanksgiving and then once Norm gets home we need to get ready for his company Safety Dinner/Christmas Party. I'm so excited! I'm going to take plenty of pictures as we will be dressed up and I might want to send out the pics with our Christmas cards. BTW, I cannot believe my Christmas cards should be going out next Friday! One week from today! It seems like just yesterday it was the first of October! I'm amazed. Then Sunday is laundry day and try to hit a few more places to find chairs while Norm cleans out all his comic book crap that is littering the family room and trying to get him to put the rest of my bookshelves put together and installed. Monday is getting Sissy's house, well, nevermind, she might read this. Tuesday is the day Sissy comes home/Mom's birthday/the day we came home with Valentina anniversary so Tuesday is a busy, busy day! Wednesday is going to be spent putting finishing touches on the house and buying the rest of the groceries. Thursday, well, TURKEY DAY, my dream come true. My home will be filled with family, a roaring fire, our family together and our two kids running around. I seriously cannot begin to tell everyone how much this means to me. To say that it means the world to me is putting it so very mildly. Anyway, that is what I have planned for the next few days. Normally the day after Thanksgiving Norm and I always go to the same Christmas tree farm, search for the perfect tree, cut it down, bring it home and set it up. This will be the first time we'll have Valentina with us as last year we just had our fake one in the family room. This year we'll still have our fake "kiddie" one in the family room and then the "adult" one in the living room. Again, to say that I'm over the moon for the holidays this year is putting it so mildly.
Have a great weekend everyone!!!!!!!
