We were the closest family possible. Our world was turned upside down on 05/03/09 when my best friend, the person I love most next only to our children, my sister Trina was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. Her body gave out on her on 01/09/10 but she will ALWAYS be a part of our daily life and will continue to be in my posts. I started my blog to chronicle our daughter's international adoption from Guatemala and have continued to use it as a journal.

What you will find is my family trying to adapt to our new lives that were handed to us.

Snowed In!!!

We are officially "snowed in"! In our area it's rare to get an inch of snow per winter aka really rainy season. Right now we have a solid 10 inches of snow with about an inch of ice in the middle of the snow. I LOVE IT!!!! Norm bought chains for his truck which I thought was a waste of money but we are able to get around but I prefer not to and just hole up in the house with a roaring fire going and baking. I've been baking up a storm! This snow has done wonders for my mental state, or maybe it's the increase of my meds. Either way I'm better! So here are some video's from that past week of when the snow started. We were going a bit stir crazy. Luckily sissy lives only a mile away so we are able to all hang out together..... if we want to. Last night we went to sissy's annual Hanukkah party, which was FABULOUS!!!!

So this is what happens to our family when we get a bit stir crazy. They are all pretty self explanatory. Just be sure to check out how sneaky my baby girl is. I'm so scared of when she gets to be a bit older!!!! Yikers.
